She was on 7th Heaven, a popular TV show. Mitchell's first major film role was on the show as Grace the drug addicted teenager that she appeared on The Crow: City of Angels. In the course of shooting The Crow in 1997, Mitchell auditioned for the role of an actor in the child part of Mary Camden of a brand new family drama 7th Heaven. The audition was rejected by the producers who were not convinced she had the ability to portray Mary. Her audition was a success and she was offered the role Lucy. 7th Heaven lasted 11 seasons. Brooke hosts and creates the CNN program American Woman, which features women who are famous in various sectors. Brooke who is from New York now and is tied to English Producer James Fletcher, has created the series for CNN called American Woman.
