Ina Gardner is the author of numerous popular American cookery books. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network. The show is on since 2002. Ina began her career by working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. While she found it to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and bought a tiny speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa.
