Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. Her films are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Growing up in a family of artists in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in her first two movies and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw became a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. In just three films, she was voted the Top female box-office debut around the globe. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she was able to have her name and footprints hand-engraved. The actress has appeared in a variety of different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among many others. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is married three times.
